We’ve been on both sides of the equation: hustling through inflexible, low paying college jobs that lacked purpose, and navigating adulthood with endless to-do lists and not enough hands to help at home or at work. That shared experience sparked an idea. What if we could connect motivated, hardworking students with meaningful work opportunities while providing adults with skilled, reliable support they can trust? The result is Colledge—a platform designed to bring value to both sides, simplifying life and business for our clients, while empowering students to succeed by offering them flexible gig work opportunities

Colledge is entirely powered by student freelancers and we offer the only dedicated website for parents, professionals, and business owners to find talented students to support them across dozens of services, like babysitting, organizing, personal assistant services, or exciting new offerings like culinary services or Skill-sitting™. Skill-sitting™ allows talented students to engage with children while teaching them how to play a new sport or learn a new skill -- like learning a new language, swimming, or playing an instrument.

Colledge also uniquely offers clients the opportunity to request and pay for comprehensive background checks for students prior to booking them. Our background checks, reviews, and community oversight allow for a secure environment where both students and clients can work together with peace of mind when booking.

Skill-sitting™ provides value for both students and parents by rethinking traditional services like babysitting, private lessons, and caretaking to offer a more engaging, modern, and interactive childcare experience.

Skill-sitting™ emerged when our team recognized that talented students across the country who were on varsity swim, baseball, and basketball teams, in music schools, and even those who honed their crafts at skate parks or on golf courses, can do a lot more than just passive babysitting! We also recognized that many children with traditional babysitters are bored of the typical babysitting experience. With these realities in mind, we knew everyone could benefit by leveraging thousands of available, talented student’s various skills by allowing them to share their refined academic, musical, artistic, or sports talents with children across the country. If Colledge could help make these Skill-sitting™ connections and facilitate more meaningful caretaking engagements, we could change what babysitting means and improve the traditional babysitting or caretaking experience by making it more interactive, educational, and fun! With this exciting realization, Skill-sitting™ was born!

We created Quick Pay™ to simplify the payment process for students and clients. Quick Pay™ makes paying students on our platform seamless and secure— no cash hassles, no third-party applications, no delays; just instant, on-site payments that keep everything organized and secure.

The gig economy is the fastest-growing segment of the labor market. It refers to a series of short-term engagements that provide more flexibility, choice, and control for both the student and the client.

You can absolutely find long-term arrangements on Colledge! Students and clients can get to know each other through short-term gigs and then create longer-term work relationships through the platform. Colledge even provides additional incentives and perks for ongoing work engagements.

Students must be over 18 years of age and have a college domain email address. We encourage both students and clients to enable payments via Stripe when creating a profile.

Any student pursuing a form of higher education is welcome to create a profile on Colledge - including students at two-year colleges, technical colleges, culinary schools, graduate programs, and so on.

Refund Policy

Colledge is a customer-service driven platform and we strive to provide students and clients with a seamless experience. Please refer to the details of our refund policy below.

Background Checks

While background checks are strongly recommended for all parties to ensure the safety and security of our Colledge community, any fees associated with background checks will not be refundable by Colledge and are the sole responsibility of students and clients using the Colledge platform.

Service Disputes

Colledge provides guidance, best practices, and communication tools on our proprietary platform to support both parties in any service engagement. If a dispute does arise, please contact help@colledge.us for review.

Subscription Refunds

Subscriptions are non-refundable and automatically renew until cancelled. Monthly subscriptions can be cancelled anytime, and the prorated portion of the subscription will be refunded. Any completed jobs prior to the cancellation will be subject to payment and not eligible for a refund.
